Folklore groups at the Cultural Center "Hristo Vitkov-1899" Lokorsko, Bulgaria has established in 1968 as authentic folklore groups - singing and dancing. Over the years they pass through many generations, change and artistic leaders.
Current artistic director is Valentina Kitova.
The basic repertoire Shoppe dances are: "Shopska Suita" choreographed Dimitar Manov, Shopski Rhythms "- choreography Stefan Stefanov.
The Ensemble perform dances from other ethnographic regions of Bulgaria: "Severniashki motives" - choreography Stefan Stefanov, "Obshtobalgarska ruchenitsa" - choreography Boris Valkov and more.
Folklore groups in Cultural Center "Hristo Vitkov-1899" village Lokorsko have many appearances in various regional and national festivals: Kazichane, Sofia, Kremikovtzi, hostile, Marble, Smolyan, Veliko Tarnovo, Haskovo, Teteven, Koprivshtitsa, Svoge, Mezdra, Stara Zagora, Dorkovo and Kyustendil.
Lokorsko Folklore Ensemble Lokorsko has concerts and tours in Greece, Macedonia, Turkey, Hungary, Slovakia, Italy, Serbia and Montenegro.
Community center is host and organizer of the Folk Festival Shoppe song. It involves artistic collectives from across the country.
